TBWCD: Blog

Ashwin Dev Dr. Cobos ELA 22 February 2017 Think through the uses of red-orange color on pages 210- 211: Every color that has been used so far is present throughout the two pages. The only difference is that the red-orange bits are cloudier than usual. On other pages the colors are used to fill things in opposed to being something that stands out from the rest of the book. The two pages are about the defeat South Vietnam had against the North, I’m guessing the red-orange colors were supposed to represent smoke or what was left after the South had been defeated. The defeat had caused a very large amount of people to leave their home country. However, the defeat was good for some people but then again, not for others, for example Thi’s parents, who were ex-patriots. The colors themselves didn't change but where the colors were placed changed compared to the rest of the book, as mentioned before, the colors were used to fill in things.
